1- When the tajine comes out of the oven, it should not be placed directly on the marble. It must be placed on anything insulating between it and the marble, wood or paper 2- You should not take a counter temperature at the same time, meaning (don't get out of the fridge directly into the oven or vice versa) It's like they're dealing with Pyrex
